18th Century Nut Moulded Liege Wine Glass c.1720

Exceptionally and rare example of an 18th century Liege wine glass which dates to c1725. It has a wide bucket bowl with nut moulding. Sits on a wrythen stem with inverted baluster and basal knops above a conical folded foot. A superb example, probably made at the Nizet glasshouse in Belgium. Date & Origin:- Belgium, c1725 Comments:- The glass comes from the Ira Shrager collection and was last on the market in 2017. No other examples of this form as been seen since that time.
