Carnacki The Ghost Finder by William Hope Hodgson. Published by Holden & Hardingham, London, 1920 Fourth Impression, Cheap Edition. Hardback bound in a rare variant green cloth binding possibly by the publisher with gilt publisher name to bottom of spine, half title, publisher's catalogue to rear. Book measures approx 7 x 5 inches with 248 pages + catalogue A scarce early edition of a classic book & in a rare variant binding

Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the 1920 Carnacki the Ghost Finder by William Hope Hodgson (LA223802) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1920
condition
Aumber of faint indentations to cloth boards possibly showing through from underneath, small crease to cloth in middle of spine, front & rear inner hinges have at some time been reinforced plus approx 6 further pages that have had some minor tape restoration to inner margins (see image for example ), pencil or crayon name and lines to half title & endpaper, all pages are age toned & browned to margins. Overall a number of faults mostly internally but nothing to serious and still a good- very acceptable good copy with boards firmly attached.
