Winnie The Pooh by A. A.Milne Published by Methuen & Co, London 1926 First Edition, First Printing Hardback in the original publisher's cloth binding, original first edition dust jacket, second state with 129th thousand instead of 117th thousand for the advert of when we were very young to rear inner flap, this being the only difference between first & second state jackets, priced at 7/6 to spine, original illustrated endpapers, numerous illustrations by ernest h.shepard that are full page or among text. The book measures approx 8 x 5 inches with 159 pages Collectable first edition with the original jacket and scarce in this condition.

Very faint ring mark to front of jacket with some surface abrasions to top left on front of jacket [see image] very slight browning to spine of jacket, corners lightly bumped, an indentation of approx 1 inch to cloth spine, front hinge cocked very slightly forward, very slight browning to endpapers matching up to the inner flaps to jacket suggesting that this jacket is original to this copy, two small names written to half title with date of nov 27-26. Overall a superb copy with no loss to jacket, pages very clean & with no restoration to jacket or book. Please note that the jacket has a clear removable cover that may show some reflections or wrinkles in images.
