The Works of Jane Austen Complete in Five Volumes Published by Macmillan & Co, London 1929-1933 Five volumes bound in the original publishers cloth bindings with gilt decorated spines. All are illustrated with frontis plates & several full page black & white illustrations by hugh thomson apart from pride & prejudice which is illustrated by c. e. brock, two of the books with gilt titles to front boards. Each book measures approx 7" x 4.5 inches.

Emma has ring marks to cloth on front board with gilt to spine slightly dull & a few creases to front endpapers, half title & frontis. Pride & Prejudice has slight fading to edges of cloth boards, private bookplate to inner front board of mansfield park, some very occasional light foxing to the five books or minor crease to pages. Other than emma the remaining books are in excellent condition with minimal faults, the copy of emma is in very good condition. The books are covered in clear removable covers that show some reflections in images.
