Vintage Double Strand Pearl Necklace with Diamond Foliate Clasp – Circa 1950s A magnificent vintage double-strand cultured pearl necklace dating to the 1950s, beautifully completed by an elaborate diamond-set foliate clasp in 9ct white gold. The necklace is composed of generously sized cultured pearls, graduating from approximately 8.2mm to an impressive 10.7mm. Their soft creamy ivory colour and attractive lustre give the necklace a rich, wonderfully flattering appearance, while the two graduated strands sit gracefully around the neckline. The substantial clasp is particularly beautiful. Designed as an elegant arrangement of overlapping leaves and sweeping curves, it is centred with a cultured pearl measuring approximately 5.2mm and set with approximately 30 sparkling diamonds.
