1980s 18ct Gold Pearl & Lapis Lazuli Drop Earrings Vintage for Pierced Ears 12 Grams

A striking pair of 1980s pearl and lapis lazuli drop earrings, beautifully crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold. Each earring is designed with a lustrous pearl of approximately 5mm, bezel set within a bold concentric circular gold surround. Suspended beneath is a substantial 12mm spherical lapis lazuli bead, its rich blue colour providing a wonderful contrast against the warm yellow gold. The simple, architectural design is very characteristic of the 1980s, combining strong proportions with luxurious materials. The earrings have excellent movement when worn, yet at approximately 2.5cm / 1 inch long remain wonderfully wearable.
