This is a rare 19th century antique double ended pestle used to mash and grind for medicinal and cookery purposes. This is a large and heavy piece that has huge character and a great patination.
Could easily double as an intruder deterrent, one well aimed shot to the big toe will have him hopping for the next 20 years.
