19th Century French Burr Cedar Inlaid Box. A superb French burr cedar box dating back to c.1870 cross banded in tulipwood with a decorative ebony , brass and bone inlay to the top centre of the box.It has a fully working lock and tasselled key. Open the box to reveal a ebony slip to the inside, the back of the inside lid is it’s original blue quilted silk interior, We have partially relined the rest of the interior with hand crafted marble paper. The box measures 26 x 19 and stands 11cm high.
