Late 19th century stunning Austrian terracotta sculpture of a female water carrier by Frederic Goldscheider, with the Frederic Goldscheider stamp and foundry numbers. Couple of bits of restoration Height = 76 cm (30.0") Width = 30 cm (12") Depth = 25 cm (10") Frederic Goldscheider opened his famous Goldscheider factory in 1885 in the city of Vienna. He worked in several mediums including ceramics, bronze and terracotta. He produced wonderful pieces of exceptional quality, winning various awards at the world fairs where he exhibited many of his works. He employed many famous and independent artists who created designs for him. He was an outstanding artist who's sculptures are greatly sought after today
