19th Century Snuff Box in the Form of a Pistol

This is a superb and rare novelty 19th Century carved snuff box Pistol in Walnut. The pistol grip carved as a Lion. The hammer and trigger are also unusually carved from wood. The top part lifts to reveal the cavity for snuff. The lid closes tightly and the hinge is original. The barrel, trigger and hammer are ebonised to contrast with Walnut stock. All in all a very nice original and very hard to find snuff box of rare form.
