Description
A nice pressed glass plate, with moulded basket weave effect decoration, in the purple malachite colourway, made by the Sowerby factory and probably dating from c 1870's. In all an attractive piece of 19th Century pressed glass from a top factory!!!
It measures 8 3/4" diameter. It is marked to the base with a moulded "peacock" Sowerby trademark (see photos). It is in excellent overall condition with no damage or restoration.
