A most unusual pair of hand coloured daguerreotype portraits by Mayer & Pierson. The firm operated from Paris in the mid 19th century and exhibited at the Great Exhibitions in London in 1851 and 1862. A number of photographs and visiting cards are on show at the National Portrait Gallery. Each are impressed to the front one with a label verso. Size: Frame 39 x 33cm Image 19.75 x 16cm The condition of the images are generally good and the frames excellent.
