Williams Antiques & Restoration have been restoring antique furniture since 1990. We carry out a wide range of restoration work from cabinet work and re-polishing to gilding and lock repairs. Our showroom has a wide range of antique furniture and smaller items. These range from dining tables and desks, to silver letter knives and tea sets. The vast majority of the furniture in the showroom has been restored in house. We also have a cabinet at the Antiques Association in Woburn. We are based in the village of Colmworth in Bedfordshire within easy reach of St Neots, Cambridge and Bedford, we also have a showroom next to our workshop for you to visit.

Description
A William IV mahogany stick barometer. The barometer has a 'birds' beak' moulded top pediment. Below is a reeded and glazed door, which opens by a working lock and key. The mercury filled tube is topped with a brass domed cap, to the right hand side shows barometric pressure with hand operated vernier. Set within the middle of the flame mahogany case is mercury filled thermometer tube engraved with a Fahrenheit scale. At the bottom, is a turned wooden cistern cover which conceals the boxwood cistern with its brass adjuster wheel protruding. The silvered engraved scale plates is signed by John Braham of Bristol. He worked between 1830 to 1859.
