Albert Ludovici Junior Watercolour - Taking A Cab

Albert Ludovici Junior RBA, Nea (1852-1932) born Prague. Son of Albert Ludovici Senior. Exhibited mainly at SS (147 works), also at RA 1880-1897, NWS, GG and elsewhere. Ludovici fell under the spell of Whistler while the latter was the President of the RBA. His pictures show Whistlers influence, particularly his London scenes, which were painted in a delicately Impressionistic style. Like his father, Ludovici lived mostly in Paris and his pictures of London life do reflect something of the Parisian boulevard gaiety of the period. Signed watercolour with quality frame and double line washed mount; provenance: with Richard Hagen, Fine Paintings, Broadway, Worcester.
