Description
Circa 1860. An Indo-Persian Dhal shield, the circular convex shield made in steel with its surface elaborately hand chiselled with intricate patterns including figures, floral motifs and writing, includes Arabic calligraphy, possibly Quranic verses or protective prayers, the back with two fabric-covered grips.
