Description
A delightful example of 18th Century tableware. This is a jelly glass on a raised and domed foot, with a broken pontil mark. Jelly glasses were widely used for desserts or entrée, containing sweet or savoury fillings such as calves foot jelly or port wine jelly and carried modest portion sizes as the flavours were intense. Perfect for syllabub or posset today. A lovely example from a bygone era.
