Antique 19th Century Amethyst Glass Serving Bottle or Decanter c.1860

Amethyst glass serving bottle with it original fruiting vine cork and wilver plate stopper and silver plate bottle cap. Date & Origin:- England, c1860 Period of Victoria. Historical Context:- Benjamin Henry perfects the Henry rifle which was manufactured by the New Haven Arms Company, and used in considerable numbers by certain Union army units in the American Civil War. Confederates called the Henry "that damned Yankee rifle that they load on Sunday and shoot all week!"
