Antique 19th Century French Bronze Figurine of Ice Skater

For sale is this beautiful antique bronze statue of an ice skater. I believe it is French in origin, and was cast in the second half of the 19th century, probably around 1875. The subject is a young man in 18th century costume with a tricorn hat putting on one of his skates. The figurine stands on a circular sienna marble base. The total height of the bronze is 19 centimeters. The diameter of the base is 11.5 centimeters. Total weight of the sculpture is 1,782 grams. The condition is excellent with no losses or breaks. A dark olive green patina covering the bronze makes this a very attractive bronze indeed! Minor scratching and soiling to the marble base.
