For sale this week is a charming pen and ink sketch signed and dated 1846. It is a drawing of a character from a Dickens novel, "The Chimes" called Trotty Veck and is a sketch after the original wood engraving by John Leech. It measures about 13 by 10 centimeters and weighs about 2 grams. It was originally mounted in a Victorian scrapbook. Condition is good with strong contrast.
