It displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Quality antique oak presents fine grain interest and rich caramel hues. Later stand displays superb craftsmanship and complementary matched aesthetic. Wide lid held securely with a locking clasp — in working order, key present. Lid opens upon a pair of period cast iron, long strap hinges. Pleasingly clean interior, ideal for housing keepsakes or books. Fascia adorned with carved circular motif to the front and sides, plain finish to reverse. Fan carved lower apron sits above an arched cross rail with scroll mounts.
