Description
A handsome and well sculpted antique, Victorian era bronze and bone miniature desk seal.
It has a decorative engraved pedestal form bronze base decorated in relief flora with a blank chalcedony matrix.
It is a smaller sized seal almost a miniature very sweet and decorative.
It is a solid piece and stands well so perfect as a mini desktop piece
Victorian era, c1860s, English make.
Made from bovine bone originating from domesticated common cattle, Bos Taurus.

Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, overall rich dark patina, some dark spotting and pitting of the bovine bone with age, chalcedony appears to have a surface crack or chip.
