This is an antique butter dish. An English, ceramic country kitchen cheese keeper, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
Pleasingly decorative dish, with charming foliate pattern, that displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Quality ceramic with a white ground hosting a colourful pattern. Presented in a pleasingly clean order, ready to use.
Colourful flowers with a palette of blue, red and green
Accentuated with gold tooling, catching the light with a flourish. Blue handle to lid, with a pair of aeration holes below. Maker's stamp to base for Keeling & Co Ltd, from the Potteries of Staffordshire.
