This is an antique calligrapher's quill box. An Austrian, painted pearwood pen case, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Eye-catching painted appearance accentuates this charming pen box that displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Hand-painted finish with a delightful foliate pattern. Vibrant colour palette of dark green, yellow and crimson. Opening upon internal hinges to reveal the three division interior.
