Antique Cantagalli Faience Vase

This is a most attractive and rare Cantgalli Faience Vase in excellent condition dating from the late 19th century. The large twin-handled pedestal vase is hand decorated, painted with stylized foliage and edged in glowing ruby lustre. The vase is substantial in size and has great impact in any setting with a really imposing decorative appearance. The colours are strong and vibrant to the piece with a lovely crisp clean glaze. Remarkable for its age circa 1880. This stands 30cm high and 24cm wide and has a cockerel mark to the base.
