Description
This is an antique carved lamp table. A Burmese, octagonal teak colonial table, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860.
Fine quality side table, with excellent fretwork detail that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Teak stocks show superb grain interest and deep russet hues. Profusely carved throughout with impressively crafted motif.
Fascinating octagonal top with petal form apron. Pierced fretwork upon the apron hosts carved fruiting vines. Turned baluster support column with further fretwork carvings. Trio of ornate cabriole legs, terminating in broad toes. Distinctive bird carvings add visual appeal between each leg.
This is an visually appealing antique carved lamp table, with quality colonial craftsmanship and striking fretwork detail. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
