Antique Edwardian Silver Pot Pourri Basket

This is a very pretty and unusual antique, solid sterling silver-lidded pot pourri basket. It is hallmarked on the side for London 1908, with the maker's mark of the highly esteemed William Comyns. The pretty grill top is in excellent condition and has a fixed handle. The top attaches (not very well!) to the ornate, boat-shaped base. As a precaution, I wouldn't recommend picking it up with the handle - there is a small amount of damage to the glass rim at one end, which I suspect has arisen from the base falling away from the top whilst being carried.
