Antique Edwardian Silver String or Twine Box

A very fine example of a solid sterling silver string box/dispenser, dating from the early years of the Edwardian era. Richly decorated with repoussee foliage in the Victorian style, with a pull off lid and weighted base. The decoration conceals the hallmark for Chester 1902 and the maker's mark for James Deakin & Sons. The lid also carries a partial hallmark. The silver is in fine condition. Always useful!
