This is an antique elbow chair. An English, mahogany armchair with needlepoint upholstery, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800. Serpentine forms with fine colour and finish. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues. Quality needlepoint upholstery with colourful foliate bouquet to the useful drop-in seat. Bowed top rail with arched edge cascades into striking, scrolled arms. Reeded front apron set between a pair of chamfered shoulders. Standing upon superb gadrooned front legs with bun feet.
