Antique English 18th Century Export Wine Glass C1750

Technical Description A superb English lead mid-18th-century Export wine glass in pale green. It has an ovoid bowl above a plain stem with a long large air tear. Conical foot with a snapped pontil. These glasses were made in England for export into the European market. Date & Origin England, c1750. George II Condition Excellent, age-related wear as shown. Dimensions Height: 15.2cm Bowl Diameter: 5.7cm Foot diameter: 6.7cm. Historical Relevance Hand-blown around the time of The French and Indian War from 1754 to 1763. Fought between the colonies of British America and those of New France.
