Striking when fully extended, with an abundance of fine detail to both sides that displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Sheets of linen bound on a fine canvas with multiple concertina folds. Decorative bound cover to front and rear, the front accentuated with a red inset. Twelve pages per side host wonderful figural scenes in the woodblock print tradition. Each page in full colour, with vibrant hues and fine detail. Japanese characters adorn the left-hand edge of each scene, with a small boxout to top right.
