The headboard and footboard are richly decorated with deep relief carved panels depicting traditional rural scenes, framed by ornate floral and geometric motifs. The craftsmanship is impressive, with turned finials, carved rails, and a beautifully carved pediment (removable) with figural detail. This bed is in a classic French provincial / Breton style, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.
