This is a very attractive French hand painted and gilded box which dates from around 1900. The box is the most wonderful cobalt blue colour, it. is carved to the top with a classical design and has red and gilded highlights. Another beautiful thing about this jewellery box is the interior which is a soft red water marked silk.
