The Works of Charles Dickens published by Chapman & Hall, London - The Fireside Edition (c.1900)
Complete set of twenty two (22) volumes bound into seventeen (17) books.
Hardbacks bound in half leather bindings by the morrell bindery, marbled endpapers, numerous illustrations throughout.
Each book measures approx 7.5" x 5.5 inches and spans just over 2ft of shelf space.
Well illustrated edition and bound in attractive morrell leather bindings.
These are heavy books.

Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the Antique Leather Set The Works of Charles Dickens Fireside Edition 17 x Volumes (LA454416) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1900
condition
All leather spines are sunned to light green with some occasional minor dark marks to leather spines, hard times book has some heavier dark marks & rubbing to gilt on spine [see image] majority of books have the same inscription dated 1918 to front endpapers, very occasional minor spot of foxing or minor marginal tear or crease.
Overall a very good solid set with no chipping or cracking to hinges & majority of pages clean.
