This is an antique lover's folio. An Italian, walnut and fruitwood decorative Grand Tour sleeve, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Delightful folio with superb quality and detail. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Walnut shows light caramel hues and fine grain interest. Fruitwood and boxwood oval medallion inlay shows a loving couple riding. Crimson coloured velvet lining in excellent order throughout. A Grand Tour treat from Sorrento, inscribed in script to the rear.
This is a beautiful antique lover's folio, with superb colour and a sweet, endearing decorative medallion to the cover. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to enjoy.
