Antique Mid Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport Desk

Offered for sale is this mid 19th Century Victorian antique exhibition quality, burr walnut davenport desk. Surmounted by a stationery/pen section with a lifting lid above the sloped writing surface, with a gilt-tooled burgundy hide. The satin birch interior with mahogany lined drawers, with finely turned handles. On the right side, 4 drawers with unusual acorn-turned handles and mahogany liners, and original brass locks (with dummy drawers to the opposite). The paneled front is flanked by spiral, ring-turned supports, all on a shaped platform base over flat bun feet.
