Fascinating, large framed map of the North American continent that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Set within a quality, later frame behind clear, bright glass. Shows the countries of Canada, United States of America and Mexico. Resplendent with great mid-19th century detail, as compiled by Joseph Hutchins Colton. Colton (1800 - 1893) was commissioned to draft up the map for the Clerks Office of the District Court, New York.
