Description
This is an antique sarcophagus tea caddy. An English, rosewood loose leaf tea case dating to the William IV period, circa 1835. A beautifully proportioned piece with fine detailing, rich tones and elegant Georgian revival design. Delightful William IV period sarcophagus tea caddy, circa 1835. Select rosewood casework displays striking grain interest and deep caramel hues. Satinwood stringing provides light contrast, enhancing the bold outline.
