No, Henry Clifford Davis takes a step back and brings together a glazed pottery match well, come striker topped by the obligatory silver collar and an excellent sized silver (filled) base evocative of the capstan inkwells of the previous century. However, be in no doubt this is a masterful concoction that works really well, looks elegant and provides a stable, reliable base - just what is needed when striking a match be it on a; a coffee, dining or side table.
