This is a delightful 830 grade Continental silver trinket box, complete with the three crown Swedish and 'S' import mark and lined with a vibrant gold and pink highlighted shot silk interior, this box is complete with an 18th Century pastoral scene to the lid depicting a pair of lovers under a tree.

This is a fantastic, heavy trinket box that was found, lacking any lining at a regional auction. Although continental in origin it was imported to and hallmarked in Sweden, confirming both its authenticity and the high regard the Swedish had for this well constructed and executed piece of silver.
