Description
This is a lovely example of a Georgian solids sterling silver cream jug. Hallmarked under the spout for London 1799, with a maker's mark which is probably that of George Burrows I. The jug has a pretty ribbon-effect bright cut decoration and there is a circular cartouche on the front, with a faint 'H' engraved into it. The silver is in good condition, with no tears of dents. The inside is not gilded, although it may appear so from the photographs.
