Antique Solid Silver Novelty Pin Cushion

This is a lovely example of Edwardian craftsmanship - a solid sterling silver elephant pin cushion, pulling a very useful mother-of-pearl cart! The two pieces are firmly attached. The elephant carries clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1909 with the maker's mark of Adie & Lovekin Ltd. It is in an excellent condition, with none of the small chips or cracks in the mother-of-pearl that are often seen in items of this age. The elephant sports a purple velvet cushion.
