Description
Here we have a very pretty antique silver pill box or case, perfect for storing a couple of vitamins in.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by Edward Souter Barnsley & Co and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1898. The maker’s marks and hallmarks are on the base and the side of the lid.
It's made of Sterling Silver and features a beautiful Repousse design to the lid. The lid lifts off and shows a very pretty gilded interior.
The round pill box is in good condition. The silver is shiny with a little bit of tarnish in the design which helps to show it well. There’s a very tiny pinprick dent to the base.
It’s a smaller size pill box, weighing 7.3g. The diameter measures 2.3cm (just under 1 inch). The depth is 1.8cm (just under 3/4 inch).
