This is a tall antique Wellington chest. An English, walnut collector's specimen chest of drawers, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860. Superb example of Victorian collector's cabinetry with fine craftsmanship. Crafted from select walnut stocks with rich caramel hues and fine grain interest. Comprising seven graduated drawers, secured by a hinged locking bar - key present. Drawer fronts finished with tactile brass cup handles for ease of use. Upper three drawers lined with green baize and fitted with section dividers for specimen storage. Lower drawers feature light mahogany drawer boxes, enhancing visual and material quality.
