Description
Of Oxfordshire interest! Nuneham House dates from the 18th century and was built for Earl Harcourt, one of George III's leading courtiers. It is said to be one of the finest examples of "villa revival" from the 1750s. The surrounding park is beautifully drawn.
Engraved by JC Stadler after an original by Joseph Farington RA (1747-1821, one of the founding members of the Royal Academy). This rare aquatint was one of 76 aquatints from "An History of the River Thames" published by J & J Boydell 1793-6.
