Art Deco 1930s La Mode Guilloche Enamel Triple Vanity Case Rouge, Powder Compact & Lipsticks

Offered for your consideration is this 1930s La Mode vanity case measuring 6.5 cm by 4.5 cm. The case is made of brushed gold tone metal with plain base and very decorative chased sides. The hinged lid at the centre of the case has a cushion form and is made of guilloche enamel in a very pale yellow with pretty forget me nots and rose at the centre. The lid lifts up to reveal a shiny gold tone interior with hinged door covering the powder well in the base which is empty. Under the lid is a double sided hinged metal mirror which also acts as the door to a further concealed compartment beneath it. This opens correctly to reveal the rouge compartment which has some remnants of it's original pink pressed rouge and the original puff. Beside the powder well in the base the case is further fitted to each side with lipstick cases which slide out.
