Arts & Crafts Chairs George Walton

This is a stunning and rare set of four Glasgow School chairs certainly in the manner of George Walton. Each chair has a drop in seat. There is the added detail on the back legs with the swept leg detail . The central angled splat and the decorative cuts outs all add to the design. One chair does have a small number/letter stamped into the underside of the framework which would indicate this was the design/model number. Educated guess; Maker possibly Wylie and Lochhead but probably Liberty and Co . The carvers : arm heights. One has the arm higher than the other one which would indicate his and hers which one can find on chairs of that period and earlier. Sold as a set of four .
