Beggar in a Continental Courtyard 17th Century

This fine painting has all the hallmarks of an important work of art. The painting is not signed but most of the early continental paintings were not signed. To me this looks like a Florentine courtyard with figures and a beggar sat in the bottom right corner. The artist as used traditional pictorial devices that lead the eye through the painting capturing the atmosphere of power and intrigue. The painting is executed in oils on panel and measures 17x12 inches and comes in its original frame making it 24x18 inches. This is a museum quality work of art.
