Description
Mid 19th Century (c.1860) Birdseye Dutch maple sewing box eith extravagant bombe shape, rich colour, birdseye maple with charming “shaking hands” swing handle. Green and blue velvet lined interior with many of the original sewing tools plus a few additions, see images. Raised on four well cast japanned steel paw feet.
It measures a good 13 inches (34cm) wide and 7 inches (17cm) tall. All my photos are taken using natural light only.
