Boulle Writing Slope

This is a stunning boulle desk writing slope 1810-1825. Andre Boulle 1642-1732, perfected the art of inlay with brass, tortoiseshell on ebony. This slope features ebonised body, rosewood interior and a bronze edging. The top lid lifts up to reveal a letter rack, the main flap reveals the writing slope. All brass inlay is present, the overall condition is good. The cloth writing surface is original but will need replacing, also there is no key. Largely, this desk is in original/untouched condition since the item was new and rarely items of this condition come onto the market.
