Bracelet Sterling Silver Vintage 1978 Fancy Curb Link With Love Heart Padlock

Fabulous vintage solid English sterling silver (fully hallmarked) Ladies chunky and very fancy curb link bracelet (day & night) with large feature love heart feature padlock clasp. Ideal to display charms if desired. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 7" / 18cm total length and weighs a very respectable 14.7 grams. Crisp Sterling silver traditional curb links (measure 8mm width) which are beautifully adorned to the front with a bright engine turned decoration which reflects the light beautifully and are smooth/highly polished to the back (day & night). Two of the links are hallmarked with the Lion Passant (Sterling silver). The central link is clearly hallmarked to one side (within different shaped, recessed cartouches) with the Lions head (London assay) and capital fancy letter; D - dating to 1978. Also stamped with the makers initials; F.M (Fred Manshaw - one of the leading Silversmiths of the era). Circular link to each end, one of which is again hallmarked with the Lion passant. Large feature secure love heart padlock (measures 2.1cm length x 1.5cm width) which is clearly hallmarked with the Anchor (Birmingham assay) and fancy capital letter; B - dating it to 1976 and carries the makers initials; H.G&S. Opens correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click. Still retains her original silver safety chain (which is correctly threaded through the central link of the padlock) for added piece of mind. Beautifully made (all links are sealed) and very comfortable to wear. Excellent, bright, clean condition with no wear or damage (looks to have had very little use - perhaps only high days and holidays) and just a few overall very light and fine little surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
